The Florida Gators (1-1) defeated McNeese (0-2) 49-7 on Saturday evening in Gainesville.
The Gators run game set the pace in this one, as they exploded for a 327 yards on the ground. Montrell Johnson led the way, running for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Graham Mertz added 193 yards passing and a touchdown while he was in the game.
The Gators return to action when they host the 11th ranked Tennessee Volunteers on September 16th. Kickoff in that game is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
