Kentucky Stuns #10 Florida

The Kentucky Wildcats (5-0, 3-0) stunned the tenth-ranked Florida Gators (3-2, 1-2) 20-13 on Saturday evening in Lexington, Kentucky.

After trading touchdowns in the first quarter, Jace Christmann hit a 51-yard field goal in the second to give the Gators a 10-7 lead. Kentucky was able to turn the tide in the third quarter, when the Wildcats blocked a field goal attempt, and Trevin Wallace returned it 76 yard for a touchdown that gave Kentucky a 13-10 lead.

Kentucky added a Chris Rodriguez nine-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter to take a 20-10 lead. Jace Christmann hit a 33-yeard field goal midway through the fourth to pull within a touchdown, but Florida was unable to get the game tying touchdown. In the game's final minute they got the ball into the Kentucky red zone - but a fourth down pass from Emory Jones would fall incomplete and Kentucky would hang on to the win.

Emory Jones went 23-for-31 with 203 yards, a touchdown and an interception at quarterback for the Gators. He also led the team in rushing with 63 yards. Chris Rodriguez Jr set the pace for the Kentucky offense, running for a game best 97 yards.

The Gators will look to bounce back when they host Vanderbilt next Saturday. Kickoff on October 9th is scheduled for 12:00 PM in Gainesville.
