The 11th ranked Florida Gators (3-1, 1-1) defeated the Tennessee Volunteers (2-2, 0-1) 38-14 on Saturday evening in Gainesville.
Emory Jones led the way for the Gators, going 21-for-27 with 209 yards passing and two touchdowns through the air - in addition, he ran for a career high 144 yards.
After building a 17-14 lead at halftime, the Gators pulled away with two unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter. In the final two minutes the Gators iced the game with a 9-yard touchdown run that lifted Florida to a 38-14 win.
The Gators will be back in action next Saturday October 2nd when they travel to Lexington to take on the Kentucky Wildcats.
