The 11th ranked Florida Gators (10-2) knocked off Florida State (6-6) 40-17 on Saturday night
Kyle Trask threw three first half touchdown passes, including two to Freddie Swain, and the Gators ended a four-game home losing streak in the rivalry. Trask finished 30-for-41 for 343 yards with those three touchdowns for the Gators, who outgained the Seminoles 467-250 on the game. After the game was tied 7-7 after the first quarter, Florida exploded for 23 points in the second quarter to take control of this game and never look back.
James Blackman went 14-for-23 with 150 yards through the air for Florida State, who were led by running back Cam Akers. Akers finished the game with 102 yards and a touchdown as one of the bright spots for a Seminoles team that is in their third game since firing head coach Willie Taggart.
