#9 Gators Shut Out Towsen, Have Attention Turned To Auburn

The 9th ranked Florida Gators (5-0) got a 38-0 shutout win over FCS Towson (3-2) on Saturday afternoon at the Swamp.

Junior Kyle Trask continued his impressive start to his collegiate career in place of injured quarterback Felepie Franks. He completed fifteen consecutive passes to start the game, making eighteen consecutive completions going back to last week's victory against Tennessee, to set a new school record for consecutive completions. The Gators built a 17-0 halftime lead and defensively had two interceptions of Towson quarterback Tom Flacco to help key the shutout victory. Flacco is the younger brother of Denver Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco.

The Gators have their toughest challenge yet next week when they host host seventh ranked Auburn - the Tigers are out to a 5-0 start including an impressive 56-23 win over Mississippi State this weekend. Auburn has won the last three matchups against the Gators going back to 2003 - Florida looks to change their fortunes next Saturday at 3:30 PM in Gainesville.
