Gators Roll Past Tennessee 34-3

The 9th ranked Florida Gators (4-0, 2-0) knocked off the Tennessee Volunteers (1-3, 0-1) 34-3 on Saturday afternoon in the Swamp. For Florida, it was the 14th win in the past fifteen games in the series, though the top ten Gators were playing their first full game without starting quarterback Felepie Franks.

Kyle Trask got his first start at quarterback for the Gators - in fact, it was his first start in seven years, since his freshman year of high school. Trask was not perfect, losing one fumble and throwing two interceptions, but rallied past those mistakes for 293 yards and two touchdowns through the air. After the Gators built a 7-0 lead in the first quarter and 17-0 lead by halftime, they were well on their way, as the only offense the Volunteers were able to muster came from a third quarter field goal.

The Gators are back in action next Saturday afternoon against FCS Towson - kickoff from Gainesville will be 4 PM.
