Gators Fall To Top Ranked Volunteers 73-61

The Florida Gators (12-11, 4-6) fell to the top team in the nation, the Tennessee Volunteers (22-1, 10-0) 73-61 on Saturday afternoon in Knoxville.

The Gators scored the first points of this game, but Tennessee had little trouble taking control in the first half building a 36-30 lead at halftime. From there the Volunteers outscored the Gators 37-31 in the second half to win their 18th consecutive game and continue their roll through SEC play.

Grant Williams led Tennessee with 16 points, while the Gators were led by 17 points from Noah Locke. Jalen Hudson added 15 points off the bench for the Gators. Florida has now lost three in a row and four of their last five games - they look to snap that skid when they battle Vanderbilt on Wednesday night.
