Gators Finish Hot To Knock Off Georgia 62-52

The Florida Gators (10-7, 2-3) went on the road and knocked off the Georgia Bulldogs (9-8, 1-4) 62-52 on Saturday afternoon

Florida started the game on an 8-0 run, and led for the entire first half, building a 33-23 halftime lead.  The Bulldogs were determined not to go without a fight, and came into the second half with a sense of urgency.  The Bulldogs rallied to tie the game 40-40 before taking their first lead at 42-40 with 13:44 to go in the game.   Georgia was able to get the lead to five with 9:38 to go in the game, but from there Florida came alive.

The Gators would go on a 19-4 run from that point, and held the Bulldogs without a field goal until twenty-two seconds remained, to take control and clinch a 62-52 win.  KeVaughn Allen led the way with 13 points for the Gators, while Noah Locke added 10 points.  Georgia's leading scorer Rayshaun Hammonds was held without a point for the second consecutive game - the Bulldogs were led by Jordan Harris, who as the only Georgia player to hit double figures.

The Gators return to action on Tuesday night when they play host to Texas A&M.  Tipoff from Gainesville is set for 8:30 PM and you can hear the game on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620 throughout Tampa Bay.
