The Florida Gators (20-11, 11-7) got a huge 80-67 win over Kentucky (21-10, 10-8) to wrap up the regular season on Saturday afternoon in Gainesville.
The Gators took a 48-33 lead at halftime and hoped to roll through the second half - however, Kentucky would push back in the second half. The Wildcats trimmed what was once a 23-point lead to 65-56 when Jalen Hudson hit a huge 3-pointer with 6:19 remaining that ignited Florida and deflated Kentucky. From there the Gators finished strong for a 13-point win, their third straight win to wrap up the regular season.
Hudson led the way all game long for the Gators, scoring 22 points - Florida also got 16 points from Egor Koulechov. Kentucky was led by 17 points from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the losing effort. Both teams now look ahead to the SEC Tournament which begins on Thursday - the Gators will open Tournament play on Friday night.
