Pinellas Voters Have More Than The Presidential Primary Tuesday

CLEARWATER -- The major-party nominating contests are decided, but there's still a reason to go to the polls in many Pinellas cities and towns Tuesday (19th), no matter your party affiliation or lack of one.

It's municipal election day in Clearwater and ten other cities and towns in Pinellas.

Clearwater is choosing a mayor and two other city council members. City voters will also decide whether to amend their charter to have runoff elections.

Voters in Pinellas Park will decide two council seats and whether to allow property tax breaks for businesses that bring jobs to the city.

Belleair Beach is voting on five charter questions including term limits.

There are also elections in Gulfport, Indian Rocks Beach, Indian Shores, Kenneth City, Madeira Beach, Oldsmar, Safety Harbor and Treasure Island.

Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
