Brevard County, FL - Deputies in Brevard County arrested two men on grand theft and burglary charges after the two were caught riding in a pickup truck with a piece of cardboard that read "stolen tag" where the license plate should be.
Authorities say Anthony Sosa and Chad Doulette were arrested in connection with multiple burglaries in Brevard County after deputies initiated a traffic stop of the truck that was spotted at several homes on Tropical Trail where burglaries occurred.
One of the homeowners reported that the truck had a piece of cardboard that read “stolen tag” attached where the license plate should be.
The truck was later seen on Pineda Causeway in Melbourne and was pulled over by authorities.
The Brevard County Sheriff's Office reports that jewelry worth thousands of dollars and a handgun were stolen from the homes.
Both Sosa and Doulette have previously been convicted of grand theft and attempted burglary in Lee County.
