Palm Beach Atlantic University Set For On-Campus Classes In The Fall

Palm Beach Atlantic University says it intends to bring students, faculty and staff back to the West Palm Beach campus in August.

The private college on Thursday announced a plan to continue following CDC guidelines to safely resume teaching and residential life for the fall semester.

University officials say extra sanitation devices and other protective measures are being installed throughout the campus.

Meanwhile, classes at Florida's public universities may also be back in session soon. Those schools can begin creating plans for reopening, after a set of guidelines were approved by the state University System of Florida.

The universities will have to be prepared to deal with COVID-19 if it appears in their area.

Plans for reopening can be submitted beginning June 12th.

Most schools in Florida have been closed since March, amid the pandemic.
