Miami-Dade And The University Of Miami Announce COVID-19 Study

Don't be surprised if you get a recorded call from Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez later day. He's looking for 750 volunteers to participate in a coronavirus study with doctors from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. The volunteers -picked at random-will take part in the study for several weeks-beginning with a finger prick blood test to pinpoint anti-bodies in the blood. Gimenez says the test will show who's infected, what can be done to treat them and the prevalence of COVID-19 in Miami-Dade. The tests are also being conducted in the United Kingdom, South Korea and China.
