Ft. Lauderdale Commissioners bracing for a earful from angry residents tonight as they hold their first meeting of the year, The status of the city's sewer pipes expected to dominate the conversation as commissioners update progress being made on the 6 different ruptures in December in Rio Vista, Victoria Park and Coral Ridge. Commissioner Steve Glassman says on Thursday Mayor Dean Trantalis is holding a special meeting to discuss the plan to repair and rebuild.The city expects to spend another 1.4-billion on top of the 200-million it borrowed last January for sewer costs.
