Boynton Beach Police Are Launching Their Annual Police Academy

Boynton Beach Police Dept.

The Boynton Beach Police Department is accepting applications for its Community Police Academy.

The program is free and open to residents and business owners in the city.

Police officers teach participants about police practices and the legal system as it pertains to police work.

The department says the program aims to foster a deeper understanding of the police department through education and increase support for officers among members of the community.

Classes will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning in January, for nine consecutive weeks at Fire Station 5, 2080 High Ridge Road, Boynton Beach.

To register for the program, contact Crime Prevention Officer Denise Schrecengost at 561-742-6848 or schrecengostd@bbfl.us.
