Governor DeSantis Announces Funds For New Workforce Housing After Irma

More help on the way to the Florida Keys still picking up the pieces two years after Hurricane Irma. Governor Ron DeSantis is in Marathon today to announce Monroe County is getting 21-million-dollars from the Florida Division of Emergency Management for reimbursement for debris removal from Hurricane Irma. The governor says Florida Housing is also providing 140-million for the construction of new affordable work force housing lost in Irma's wake. He says Monroe County developers and public housing authorities get first dibs on the application process. Local governments can also partner with these entities to apply for funds
