The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is sharing photos of a rare occurrence that happened on Singer Island Beach.
A large leatherback sea turtle was spotted nesting there in the middle of the day late last week.
The organization is asking beachgoers to keep a safe distance from the animal while she lays eggs.
Leatherbacks are the largest of all sea turtle species.
