Pinellas Tax Collector Closes Some Locations for COVID-19

CLEARWATER -- The Pinellas County Tax Collector is closing some offices because of the coronavirus outbreak.

Starting Tuesday and running through Friday, March 27th, the Skyway office in south St. Petersburg, and the Gulf to Bay office in Clearwater will be CLOSED.

These three offices will remain open:

North County Office, 29399 US19 N #100, Clearwater, 33761

Mid County Office,13025 Starkey Rd, Largo, 33773

South County Office, 1800 66th St N, St. Petersburg, 33710

The Tax Collector's office is also cancelling road tests and concealed weapon licensing services at all locations in Pinellas.

Tax Collector Charles W. Thomas describes the COVID-19 pandemic as "uncharted territory." Thomas says his office is monitoring the situation and following advice from the state and federal levels.

All Florida driver licenses due to expire from March 16th through April 15th have been extended for 30 days.
