Don't Blink Because You Might Miss Bucs Starters Play On Friday

With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers first preseason game just two days away, Head Coach Bruce Arians met with the media on Wednesday to provide an injury update on defensive lineman Vita Vea & to detail who would see most of the action on Friday in Pittsburgh.

Arians started his interview with the media stating that Vea was given an initial MRI on Wednesday, which revealed fluid & swelling in his left knee. The second year defensive lineman will be given another MRI on Friday.

The head coach also provided a list of 10 players that will not travel to Pittsburgh for the team's first preseason game including linebacker Lavonte David, who had surgery on a torn meniscus in his knee on Monday plus rookies wide receiver Scotty Miller & cornerback Jamel Dean, who has missed four straight practices with a hip flexor injury.

Part of the interview included Arians detailing that the team's young players that are healthy will see at least 80% of the plays on Friday night. He also joked that he may even call a timeout to remove his offensive starters even if they were on a scoring drive during their first possession.
