The 8th-ranked Miami Hurricanes defeated USF 50-15 on Saturday night at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
Cam Ward threw for 404 yards and three touchdowns, passing 15,000 career passing yards in the win. Bulls quarterback Byrum Brown went 19-of-30 with 254 yards passing.
USF took a 15-14 lead late in the second quarter, but the Hurricanes scored a touchdown before halftime - and USF missed a field goal before the half - to give Miami a first-half lead. In the second half, the Hurricanes pulled away to turn the game into a blowout.
The USF Bulls will next be in action when they travel to Tulane next weekend. Kickoff between USF and Tulane is scheduled for 12:00 PM ET on September 28th.
