The USF Bulls (6-6, 4-3) defeated the Charlotte 49ers (3-9, 2-6) 48-14 on Saturday night at Raymond James Stadium. The win ensures bowl eligibility for the Bulls in the first year under head coach Alex Golesh, the first time they've earned bowl eligibility since 2018.
Tied 7-7 after the first quarter, the Bulls scored two touchdowns in the second to go into halftime with a 21-7 lead. They pulled away with a 20 point third quarter to ensure a blowout victory.
Byrum Brown went 22-for-30 with 253 yards passing at quarterback, throwing for four touchdowns and one interception. He added another touchdown on the ground while rushing for 43 yards.
The Bulls will now wait to learn who they will face in the upcoming bowl season, which will be announced on December 3rd.
