The USF Bulls (1-8, 0-5) fell to the Temple Owls (3-6, 1-4) 54-28 on Saturday afternoon in Temple. The Bulls now have lost seven consecutive games.
The Bulls scored first when Katravis Marsh hit Xavier Weaver for a 10-yard touchdown with 6:30 to go in the first quarter. The Owls scored the next sixteen points, before Marsh hit Weaver again for an 11-yard touchdown pass with 0:37 to go in the second half that pulled USF within 16-14.
The Owls took control of the game in the second half, outscoring USF 17-14 in the third quarter to take a 33-28 lead. Then Temple exploded for 21 unanswered fourth quarter points en route to a 54-28 win.
Marsh went 11-for-22 with 176 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Brian Battie was USF's leading rusher, running for 129 yards on the ground.
The Bulls will look to bounce back next Saturday when they return home to host SMU. Kickoff between USF and SMU is scheduled for 12:00 PM on Saturday November 12th at Raymond James Stadium.
