The USF Bulls (0-1) were shut out by the North Carolina State Wolfpack (1-0) 45-0 on Thursday night to kick off the 2021 season.
Ricky Person Jr. scored three first half touchdowns to set the pace for North Carolina State. The Bulls started Cade Fortin at uarterback, but head coach Jeff Scott pulled him for true freshman Timmy McClain before halftime. McClain finished the game 7-for-13 with 126 yards and two interception, while Fortin went 7-for-20 with 41 yards through the air and one interception.
The Bulls will look to bounce back next Saturday in a huge in-state showdown when the 13th ranked Florida Gators head to Tampa. Kickoff on September 11th from Raymond James Stadium is scheduled for 1:00 PM - you can hear the game, beginning with pregame coverage at 12:00 PM, on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
