The Houston Cougars (3-3, 3--2) defeated the USF Bulls (1-7, 0-6) 56-21 on Saturday afternoon in Houston. The loss was the seventh in a row for USF, the worst lsing streak in a single season in school history.
The Cougars scored two touchdowns in all four quarters of the game, including having built a 28-0 lead over USF by halftime. The Bulls were playing extremely shorthanded, as they were missing thirteen players, including quarterback Noah Johnson, due to injuries or positive COVID-19 tests. Jordan McCloud got his sixth start of the season at quarterback, going 14-for-29 with 180 yards passing.
The Bulls will try to avoid making it eight losses in a row on Saturday night when they play host to Navy - kickoff in that game from Raymond James Stadium is scheduled for 8 PM.
