B.J. Taylor scored 25 points, including hitting 10-of-11 free throws, to lead UCF (13-6, 4-3) to a 71-69 win over USF (7-13, 0-7) on Saturday night in Tampa.
USF built a 36-29 lead at halftime and looked like they would be in position to get their first conference win of the season. However, Taylor scored five straight points to tie the game 56-56 with 4:59 to go in the contest. From there, the Knights went on a 9-0 run that put the game out of reach for the Bulls.
The USF Bulls continue to look for their first conference win when they battle Tulane on Thursday. Tipoff from New Orleans is 9 PM on Thursday night.
