The USF Bulls (3-2) knocked off Howard (0-6) on Wednesday evening at the Sun Dome.
Stephan Jiggetts scored 16 points and six rebounds to lead the way for the Bulls, including shooting 5-of-9 from the field. The Bulls had a slow start, but went on a 13-0 run midway through the first half that gave the Bulls a 36-24 lead at halftime. From there USF went on a 20-6 run that put the game away for the Bulls.
In addition to the 16 points from Jiggetts, USF got 14 points from Payton Banks and Tulio Da Silva added ten points and six rebounds. Howard was led by 17 points from RJ Cole.
The Bulls return to action on Friday when they battle Arkansas State - tipoff from the Sun Dome in Tampa is set for 12 PM.
