USF Falls To #18 Cincinnati 68-54 Wednesday Night

The USF Bulls (7-18, 1-13) fell to the Cincinnati Bearcats (23-2, 12-1) on Wednesday night at the Sun Dome.

Playing in their first game since being upset by SMU, Cincinnati never trailed in this contest, building a 30-22 lead at halftime and taking control with an 11-2 run to begin the second half.  Kyle Washington led the way for the Bearcats with 13 points and seven rebounds, while Jacob Evans finished with 10 points.

Fresh off of their first conference win that snapped a twelve game losing streak, the Bulls were limited to just 36% shooting while they had eight shots blocked and committed 21 turnovers.  Geno Thorpe was the only Bull to hit double figures, scoring 19 points, though Tulio Da Silva did grab 11 rebounds (while scoring only four points) in the losing cause.

South Florida goes back on the road on Saturday when they head to New Orleans to take on Tulane.  Tipoff between the Bulls and Green Wave is scheduled for 2 PM on Saturday afternoon.
