The 4th-ranked UNC Tar Heels (26-6, 18-3) blew out Florida State (17-16, 10-11) 92-67 on Thursday afternoon in Washington, DC. The loss ends the Seminoles run in the ACC Tournament in the quarterfinal round.
Florida State, which came into the ACC Tournament as the 9th seed, was led by Primo Spears scoring 17 points. The Tar Heels were the top seed in the tournament, and were led by Armando Bacot scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
North Carolina now advances to the semifinals of the ACC Tournament and are in contention for a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament.
