The #8th ranked Florida State Seminoles (1-0) defeated the #5th ranked LSU Tigers (0-1) in the marquee showdown on Sunday night in Orlando.
Tied 14-14 late in the first half, LSU hit a field goal as time expired to take a 17-14 lead into halftime. The Seminoles then scored ten unanswered points in the third quarter to take a 24-17 lead. Florida State then scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to turn the game into a blowout.
Jordan Travis went 23-for-31 with 342 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in the air. He also added a score on the ground to contribute to five touchdowns on the game.
Keon Coleman (pictured) was the star of this game, grabbing nine catches for 122 yards and three touchdowns. Johnny Wilson also added seven catches for 104 yards in the game.
The Seminoles return to Tallahassee where they'll host Southern Miss for the second game of the season on Saturday night. Kickoff on September 9th is scheduled for 8:30 PM.
