The 23rd ranked Florida State Seminoles (4-1, 2-1) fell to Wake Forest (4-1, 1-1) 31-21 on Saturday afternoon in Tallahassee.
Wake Forest built a 28-7 lead early in the third quarter before the Seminoles tried to pull back into this one. They got within a touchdown when Johnny Wilson scored a 4-yard TD with 9:32 to go that made it 28-21, but that was as close as the Seminoles could get. Wake Forest added a field goal late to make it a 31-21 final score.
Jordan Travis went 23-for-35 with 281 yards and three touchdowns passing. Treshaun Ward set the pace on the ground, rushing for 87 yards to lead Florida State.
The Seminoles return to action when they travel to #10 North Carolina State on October 8th.
