Florida State Bounced From ACC Tournament In Second Round


The number nine seed Syracuse Orange blew out the eighth seed Florida State Seminoles 96-57 on Wednesday afternoon in Brooklyn.

Syracuse used an 11-0 run in the first half to go up by double digits on the way to a 49-26 halftime lead. Matthew Cleveland was the Seminoles leading scorer, coming up with 13 points off the bench.

The story of this game came in the first half when Buddy Boeheim of Syracuse punched Florida State's Wyatt Wilkes in the stomach. After the game he was suspended for one game by the ACC.

With the loss, the Seminoles run of qualifying for the NCAA Tournament ends at four straight seasons.
