The Florida State Seminoles (2-4, 1-1) defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels (3-3, 2-3) 35-25 on Saturday afternoon in Chapel Hill.
Jordan Travis had a career day for the Seminoles, going 11-for-13 with 145 yards and three touchdowns passing - he also ran for 121 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
The Tar Heels built a 10-0 first quarter lead, but Florida State answered with three touchdowns in the second quarter to take control of the game. After taking a 21-10 lead in halftime, the teams traded touchdowns to start the third quarter, before the Seminoles scored late in the third to build a 35-17 lead. UNC scored with 247 to go to pull within 35-25, but the two point conversation attempt failed and Florida State earned a ten-point victory.
The Seminoles will have a bye next Saturday and will return to action when they host UMass on October 23rd.
