Seminoles Snap Skid With Blowout Of Boston College

The 19th ranked Florida State Seminoles (22-6, 10-5) blew past Boston College (9-19, 2-13) 104-72 Monday night in Tallahassee to snap a two game skid.

Florida State never trailed in this one, building a 55-31 halftime lead and built a lead up to 34 points early in the second half.  The Seminoles bench came accounted for 59 points in a game where Florida State shot 54% from the field, to just 39% for Boston College.  It was also the fifth time this year FSU passed the century mark - Florida State had five 100 point games in the previous 15 seasons combined.

Dwayne Bacon scored 16 points to go over the 1,000 point mark for his career.  P.J. Savoy added 15 points while Xavier Rathan-Mayes had ten assists to go with seven points.  Boston College was led by 24 points and eleven rebounds from Kai Bowman and 21 points from Jerome Robinson.  The loss is the eleventh consecutive for the Eagles, who have also dropped sixteen straight conference road games.

The Seminoles head on the road to take on the Clemson Tigers on Saturday.  Tipoff from Clemson, South Carolina is scheduled for high noon on Saturday, February 25th.
