The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2) defeated the New Orleans Saints (2-4) 51-27 on Sunday afternoon in New Orleans. Playing in the first game since Hurricane Milton ravaged Florida earlier in the week, the Buccaneers hoped to be a morale boost for the region.
Baker Mayfield overcame three turnovers by throwing 325 yards and four touchdowns. After the Buccaneers built a 17-0 lead, the Saints roared back in the second quarter with 27 points and took a 27-24 lead into halftime.
The Buccaneers had an answer in the second half, taking control of the game. Sean Tucker was the leading rusher in the game, running for 136 yards and a touchdown. Chris Godwin led the team with 11 receptions for 125 yards and two touchdowns.
The Buccaneers are next in action when they host the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football next week. Kickoff on Monday October 21 is scheduled for 8:15 PM - you can hear the game on 97.9 WXTB-FM - The Mighty 98 Rock.
