The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-8) defeated the Arizona Cardinals (4-11) 19-16 on Christmas night in Glendale, Arizona. The Buccaneers now have an opportunity to win the NFC South when they host the Carolina Panthers on January 1st.
The teams traded field goals in the first half and went into halftime tied 6-6. The Cardinals scored then scored the next ten points, all in the fourth quarter, to build a 16-6 lead.
Tom Brady then orchestrated his 57th career fourth quarter comeback. He hit Rachaad White for a 3-yard touchdown pass with 8:23 to go to pull within 16-6. Ryan Succop would later tie the game with a 42-yard field goal that made the game 16-16.
In overtime, the Cardinals won the toss and began with possession. The Buccaneers defense stood tall, forcing Arizona to kick the ball to the Buccaneers. The Bucs drove the ball 68 yards to set up a 40-yard field goal attempt for Ryan Succop, which he nailed to give the Buccaneers the win.
