Browns Beat Buccaneers In OT

The Cleveland Browns (4-7) defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-6) 23-17 on Sunday afternoon in overtime. The loss snaps Tampa Bay's winning streak at two games.

Tied 10-10 at halftime, Tom Brady hit Ko Kieft for a five yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to give Tampa Bay a 17-10 lead. That would be the score for much of the second half, until Cleveland drove the ball 48 yards on six plays in the final minutes of regulation. Jacoby Brissett hit David Njoku for a 12-yard touchdown with 0:32 to go that tied the game 17-17 and forced overtime.

In overtime, it would be Nick Chubb coming away with the game winner. After Cleveland orchestrated a six play, 72 yard drive, Nick Chubb scored a three-yard touchdown with 0:19 to go in OT to lift the Browns to the win.

Tom Brady went 29-for-43 with 246 yards and two touchdowns passing. Chris Godwin pulled in twelve catches for 110 yards and a touchdown. Rachaad White was the Buccaneers leading rusher, running for 64 yards.

The Buccaneers next return to action on Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints. Kickoff between the Buccaneers and Saints is scheduled for 8:15 PM on December 5 - you can hear the game on 97.9 WXTB-FM - The Mighty 98 Rock.
