Khalil Davis Rejoins Buccaneers Practice Squad

VIA TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS COMMUNICATIONS -

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed defensive tackle Deadrin Senat from the team’s practice squad to its active roster. In addition, Tampa Bay signed defensive lineman Khalil Davis to its practice squad.

Senat (6-1, 305) was originally signed by the Buccaneers on April 22, 2022. He entered the league as a third-round selection (No. 90 overall) by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2018 NFL Draft. The Immokalee, Florida, native appeared in 22 games for the Falcons, making two starts, from 2018-21, prior to being waived/injured in November of 2021. In his career, Senat has recorded 34 tackles (two for loss), four quarterback hits and one fumble recovery. He played collegiately at the University of South Florida from 2013-17, earning all-conference honors in his final two seasons with the Bulls. Senat wears No. 95 for the Buccaneers.

Davis (6-1, 308) returns to the Buccaneers after originally entering the league as a sixth-round pick (No. 194 overall) by Tampa Bay in the 2020 NFL Draft. He was waived on October 2, 2021, before being acquired off of waivers by the Indianapolis Colts. After being waived by the Colts on October 30, 2021, Davis signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad. He remained with the Steelers until August 30, 2022. Davis has played in three career games, including two with the Buccaneers, recording two tackles and two quarterback hits. The Blue Springs, Missouri, native played collegiately at Nebraska. Davis will wear No. 71 for Tampa Bay.
