The Bucs opened up their 2022 preseason on Saturday night at Raymond James Stadium, playing an entertaining game with the Dolphins – one that ended in a 26-24 loss. While it was a great 2022 debut for some, Tampa Bay took the field without most of its regulars.
When the inactive list came out before Saturday’s game, it featured 29 players on the Bucs’ side. It didn’t come as a shock, though. Head coach Todd Bowles said earlier in August that most of his starters would sit for the game against Miami. But what about next Saturday’s exhibition against the Titans in Tennessee? Expect to see more regulars, but perhaps not all of them.
“Some of them will play more this week,” Bowles said Sunday. “We will see how practice goes, but all of them won’t be out – some of them will be playing.”
