Buccaneers Trade Out of First Round

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did not make a draft pick in the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday night. They entered the night with the 27th pick of the draft, but traded it to the Jacksonville Jaguars when their turn came up in the order.

In exchange for the 27th pick, the Buccaneers acquired the 33rd pick, the 106th pick, and the 180th pick. The 33rd pick is the first pick of the second round, the 106th pick is the first pick of the fourth round, and the 180th pick is the first pick in the sixth round.

The Jaguars used the pick on Devin Lloyd, a linebacker from Utah.

It was the first time since 1998 the Buccaneers started the draft with a pick in the first round and traded out of the round completely.

The Buccaneers are now on the clock for the first pick of the second round. The second and third rounds of the NFL pick will begin at 7 PM on Friday night. Keep it locked to 95.3 WDAE & AM 620 for the latest Buccaneers offseason news and reactions.
