The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today re-signed tackle Josh Wells.
Wells (6-6, 306) originally joined the Buccaneers as a free agent in 2019. He has appeared in 45 regular season games over the last three seasons for Tampa Bay, making eight starts. He has also played in all six Buccaneers postseason games over the past two seasons and was a member of Tampa Bay’s Super Bowl LV championship team. For his career, Wells has appeared in 84 career regular season games and nine total playoff games with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buccaneers.
Wells entered the league as a college free agent with Jacksonville in 2014, where he spent his first four NFL seasons (2014-18), playing in 52 games. A native of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Wells played collegiately at James Madison. He wears No. 72 for Tampa Bay.
