For the second consecutive year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed the franchise tag on wide receiver Chris Godwin.
The move comes because the two teams did not come to an agreement on a long-term deal before Tuesday's 4 PM ET deadline.
The move raises questions about the future of cornerback Carlton Davis, who the Buccaneers would likely have used the franchise tag on if Chris Godwin had agreed to a long-term deal with the team.
