The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today placed linebacker Lavonte David and running back Leonard Fournette on the Reserve/Injured list. In addition, Tampa Bay placed wide receiver Jaelon Darden and defensive lineman Rakeem Nuñez-Roches on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
David has started 12 games for Tampa Bay this season, recording 97 tackles (five for loss), four quarterback hits, three passes defensed, 2.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Since entering the league in 2012, David ranks first in the NFL in solo tackles (867), first in fumble recoveries (17), second in total tackles (1,220), third in tackles for loss (134) and tied for third in forced fumbles (26). Among linebackers, he also ranks tied for second during that span in interceptions (12) and fourth in passes defensed (54).
Fournette has played in 14 games for the Buccaneers this season, with 13 starts, rushing 180 times for 812 yards and eight touchdowns and adding 69 receptions for 454 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. He leads the team in both rushing yards (812) and scrimmage yards (1,266) through Week 15. Fournette’s 1,266 yards from scrimmage rank 10th in the NFL through Week 15 among all players and sixth among running backs. He also ranks second among running backs in total first downs (75) and tied for fifth in scrimmage touchdowns (10).
