Buccaneers Rally To 38-31 Win Over Chargers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1) rallied to a 38-31 win over the Chargers (1-3) on Sunday afternoon at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

The game started well for the Buccaneers, as Tom Brady orchestrated a long drive that ended in a 3-yard touchdown pass to Cam Brate to take a 7-0 lead. The Chargers attempted to take control of the game from that point, as they scored 24 straight points to build a 24-7 lead with 1:37 to go in the second quarter.

The game began to turn when the Buccaneers recovered a fumble late in the second quarter - then moments later Brady hit Mike Evans for a 6-yard touchdown to pull within 24-14. The Buccaneers then scored the first two touchdowns of the third quarter to build a 28-24 lead.

Though Justin Herbert hit Jaylen Guyton for a 72-yard touchdown to give the Chargers the lead as the third quarter ended, the Buccaneers came through in the fourth. After Ke'Shawn Vaughn grabbed a 9-yard touchdown, Ryan Succop hit a 26-yard FG late to make it a seven point game and clinch the win.

Tom Brady finished the game 30-for-46 with 369 yards, five touchdown passes, and one interception.

The Buccaneers now look ahead to a short week as they travel to Chicago to battle the Bears Sunday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 PM on Thursday night.
