When you've been around the NFL as long as Bruce Arians, you form long-standing relationships & a few of those relationships are helping the head coach turn the Buccaneers around in one season.
In his first season as head coach, Arians has led the team to seven wins, which is two more wins than each of the last two seasons. And a win on Saturday against the Houston Texans would give the team a five game-winning streak.
Arians spoke to the media on Tuesday & as much as he shared his thoughts on potentially ending the season with a six game-winning streak, the head coach discussed how two long-time NFL coaches have helped him lead the Buccaneers to their longest winning streak since 2016.
On the offensive side of the ball, Arians has offensive consultant Tom Moore, who has been on coaching staffs with Arians on several teams like the Indianapolis Colts & Arizona Cardinals & provides the head coach with a daily soundboard.
When it comes to running his defense, Arians has relied on defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, who he coached in college over three decades ago when the two were at Temple University. And as Arians put it, Bowles was such a smart player in college & has been such a great coach in the NFL, the head coach thought he'd be working under Bowles one day.
