With the Buccaneers potentially missing their top wide receiver Mike Evans because of a right hamstring injury, quarterback Jameis Winston is not sure if he will play on Sunday against the Lions in Detroit.
Winston met with the media on Wednesday, the team's first practice since beating the Colts on Sunday for their third straight win overall. The win is the same game where he injured his right thumb, first on the hand then while pulling his own hand back, on the helmet of the same Colts defender. The injury, which he said occurred in the final two minutes of the first half of the game, kept Winston from playing the team's first possession of the second half.
Since Sunday, Winston has seen a hand specialist & when speaking on Wednesday was unsure on what he will be able to do in practice this week.
As for missing Evans, his top receiver since he's entered the league, Winston discussed how the team will adjust but is confident that others will step up.
