Although his quarterback leads the league in interceptions, Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich sees progress in how his signal caller is playing each game.
There have been multiple times during his first season running the Buccaneers offense that Leftwich has used the phrase, "live to play another down." And simply the term means for his quarterback to realize it's time to get rid of the football by safely throwing the football away.
Leftwich met with the media on Thursday & spoke about the conscience effort quarterback Jameis Winston has made in recent games to throw the ball away, no matter how tough it is for a quarterback to decide it's time to live to play another down.
