One day after the team released cornerback Vernon Hargreaves, Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians advised the media that the two things every player controls should always be good.
On Tuesday, the team decided to part ways with Hargreaves who was the 11th pick overall in the 2016 NFL draft. And although the team released a statement from general manager Jason Licht regarding the roster move, on Wednesday when Arians met with the media, he was asked about the release of the fourth year cornerback. But Arians referred back to Licht's statement when asked further about the decision to part ways with Hargreaves.
Arians did make clear that the move was not based off of one particular incident but was cumulative. The head coach also stated on Wednesday that his players don't control a lot of things but what each player controls is his effort & attitude, which he expects to be good all the time.
