Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fire Head Coach Dirk Koetter

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have fired head coach Dirk Koetter following his third season as head coach, and fourth with the Tampa Bay Buccaneer organization.  Following another 5-11 season where expectations were high, especially with a 9-7 record in Koetter’s first season at the helm of the franchise.

Koetter, who had head coaching stints in the college ranks at Boise State (1998-2000) and Arizona State (2001-2006), has been the head coach of Tampa Bay since the 2016 season. Dirk Koetter finishes his tenure with Tampa Bay with a 19-29 record despite having one of the league’s top offenses this season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will now search for their fourth head coach since 2011.
