The Pittsburgh Penguins (36-30-11) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (43-27-7) 5-4 on Saturday afternoon in Pittsburgh. The win comes after the Lightning clinched a playoff berth while idle on Friday.
The Penguins built a 4-1 lead but the Lightning scored three times in the third to tie the game 4-4. Michael Bunting scored the game-winner at the 14:32 mark of the third that would clinch the win.
Steven Stamkos scored twice, while Andrei Vasilevskiy went 23-of-28 in net in the loss.
The Lightning now return home and will host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night. Puck drop between the Lightning and Blue Jackets is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Tuesday.
