The Tampa Bay Lightning (30-20-5) defeated the Colorado Avalanche (33-18-4) 6-3 on Thursday night at Amalie Arena. The Lightning have now won three in a row, and 11 of the past 14.
The game saw the two top scorers in the NHL go head-to-head. Nikita Kucherov for the Lightning had two goals and an assist to up the lead to 93 points. Nathan MacKinnon had two assists for Colorado and now has 89 points on the season.
The Lightning trailed 3-2 in the third and scored four straight goals in that frame to take the win. Andrei Vasilevskiy went 28-of-31 in net for Tampa Bay to get the win.
The Lightning remain home for the next three games, which continues on Saturday night. Tampa Bay hosts the Florida Panthers on Saturday - puck drop in that game is scheduled for 5:00 PM at Amalie Arena.
